FROM THE ATLAS TO THE ATLANTIC OCEAN MOTORCYCLE TOUR

An unusual trip that, starting from Marrakech, will take us through the desert and mountains to reach the shores of the Atlantic Ocean.

We will cross the Agafay Desert, a rocky dune desert just a few kilometers from Marrakech, offering the chance to try off-road driving and experience the emptiness and silence that only the desert can provide.

From Lake Ouirgane, we will continue to the Tizi n'Test pass at 2100 meters in the High Atlas and reach the beautiful fortified city of Taroudant, also called the “Little Marrakech.”

From here, we will reach the Atlantic Ocean coast and, after driving a beautiful off-road stretch, we will settle in Fort Bou Jerif where we will spend two nights in an old Foreign Legion fort.

We will then head north and stop at the seaside town of Essaouira, before returning to Marrakech on the last day, passing through hilly dirt tracks.

The itinerary may vary depending on the participants' off-road driving skills.

It is also possible to join the tour as a passenger (only for experienced drivers).

PROGRAM

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech, from Marrakech to Ouirgane - 62 km / 38 miles

Arrival in Marrakech by plane in the morning, handling formalities, and motorcycle pick-up. We will head towards Lake Lalla Takerkoust, where we will stop for lunch. The lake is named after a woman recognized as a saint for her kindness and her power to help women conceive. You will be able to admire the majestic Atlas Mountains reflecting in the clear waters of the lake. In this place, we will also begin to explore the Agafay Desert. We will then continue to Lake Ouirgane, located in the High Atlas Mountains at about 1000 meters above sea level, in the heart of Toubkal National Park. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 2: From Ouirgane to Taroudant - 180 km / 111 miles

We will leave the lake and head towards the High Atlas range. After crossing the Tizi n'Test pass at an altitude of 2100 meters, we will reach Taroudant, "the little Marrakech." The city is located in the Souss Valley, surrounded by mountains. The bastions and towers that encircle it have made it an impregnable city. Taroudant is known for its craftsmanship and souks and attracts many tourists from around the world. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 3: From Taroudant to Fort Bou Jerif - 290 km / 180 miles

After breakfast, we will head towards the Atlantic Ocean. We will travel along a coastal road where we can admire the power of the ocean waves, and at certain points, we may spot shipwrecks washed ashore. We will then take an off-road stretch to reach the Fort Bou Jerif hotel complex. The name comes from the Foreign Legion fort located a few kilometers away, built by the French in 1935 during their last major pacification campaign in southern Morocco. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 4: From Fort Bou Jerif to Fort Bou Jerif - 70 km / 43 miles

This day will be dedicated exclusively to off-road driving. Depending on the off-road driving abilities of the participants, it may be possible to drive a few kilometers on Plage Blanche, just a few meters from the ocean waves. In the afternoon, we will return to Fort Bou Jerif. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: From Fort Bou Jerif to Essaouira - 390 km / 242 miles

We will leave Fort Bou Jerif to head to Essaouira. We will drive a stretch of off-road before returning to the coastal road. We will stop for lunch in Mirleft, a small Berber town that is a surfer's paradise. A Spanish fortification overlooks the town and offers a stunning view of the sea and surroundings. We will continue on to Essaouira, a famous location known for its distant past as a slave market and now a haven for artists and good seafood. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 6: From Essaouira to Marrakech - 177 km / 109 miles

Our final destination will be Marrakech, which we will reach in the late afternoon after driving through hilly off-road tracks, offering beautiful panoramas. Arrival at the hotel, return of the motorcycles, dinner, and overnight stay.

Any extensions to the program can be arranged.

The itinerary may be modified depending on the participants' off-road driving skills.

Minimum Number of Participants: 8

If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the tour may be canceled or changed to a different format.

• Motorcycle rental with top case. (A deposit is required for the motorcycle rental).
• Rental prices include civil liability insurance and roadside assistance insurance in case of breakdown.
• All lunches (which may be packed or at local establishments).
• All dinners.
• All overnight stays in double rooms with half-board treatment as per the program.
• One drink per meal.
• Transfer to and from the airport.
• Tour guide.
• 4x4 support vehicle for assistance.
• Luggage transport.

NOT INCLUDED:

• Fuel for rental vehicles.
• Tolls.
• Entrance tickets to museums, natural parks, and other tourist sites.
• Tips.
• Alcoholic beverages.
• National and international flights.

We also recommend that anyone traveling abroad for one of our tours consider purchasing "Travel Insurance." It can eliminate the worry of unforeseen situations that may arise during any travel plan.

PAYMENT TERMS:

• A deposit of 1000 euros is required at the time of booking. (The deposit is fully refundable if the minimum number of participants is not reached, or if mutually agreed upon, if the tour is held in a different format with different services).
• The balance is due 60 days before the departure date, upon confirmation by our organization.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

• Up to 60 days before the tour start date, the deposit will be retained and will be valid as credit for the entire following season for a tour or motorcycle rental.
• From 59 days to 15 days before the tour start date, the deposit will be forfeited. The balance will be retained and will be valid as credit for the entire following season for a tour.
• From 15 days before departure, 50% of the total amount will be forfeited. The remaining 50% will be retained and will be valid as credit for the entire following season for a tour or motorcycle rental.
