MOTORCYCLE TOUR - Morocco - Sahara Experience

A trip dedicated to the off-road, in 5 days we will have the chance to see the two Moroccan Erg, the Erg Chegaga and the Erg Chebbi, who have done and still are the background to numerous rallies in the desert.

The route starts from Zagora, a town located in the Draa valley at the gateway to Erg Chegaga, from where we will continue to M'hamid and Lake Iriqui where, whoever wants, can try driving a buggy on the dunes or a quiet dromedary excursion.

We will move, on dirt tracks, towards the North-East to reach the village of Tafraoute Sidi Ali.

The tracks will take us to the gates of the desert, in the Erg Chebbi, where we will expect wonderful panoramas with the high dunes of the oasis of Merzouga to serve as background. Even here there will be the possibility of riding a quad or camel excursions to enjoy a tea at sunset.

Leaving the dunes of Merzouga we will continue our itinerary towards Errachidia, considered as the largest oasis of Morocco, and the final destination of our tour.

Possibility to participate in the tour also with a passenger (only for experienced pilots).

Day 1: Arrival by plane to Zagora, formalities and motorcycle collection. Transfer on asphalt and track to M'hamid, a small oasis in the south at the entrance to Erg Chegaga. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: The day will be dedicated to off-road driving. Through the track we will reach the Iriqui National Park, created in 1994 to protect the desert flora and fauna, is characterized by a strong presence of Southern Gazelles. In the humid periods Lake Iriqui welcomes many species of birds including the pink flamingos. This area has also been the scene of numerous rally challenges in the desert ... how not to mention the famous Paris - Dakar ... There will be the possibility to rent buggies or quads to have fun in the dunes, or alternatively choose a more "relaxing" tour in dromedary (optional excursions). Dinner and overnight stay in a tented camp.

Day 3: Today still sand and slopes, this time heading north-east, to take us to the Erg Chebbi, we will reach the village of Tafraoute Sidi Ali. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: We will continue to drive and enjoy the endless spaces that surround us until we reach the oasis of Merzouga. Its dunes can reach a height of 150 meters and change color during the day, passing from pink to gold to red. Here you can experience all the sensations and emotions that the desert offers, the silence, the infinite and at night a sky full of stars. There will be the possibility, for those who wish, to make excursions in dromedary or quad (optional excursions). Dinner and overnight stay in a tented camp.

Day 5: Leave the dunes behind us and continue north on the track and asphalt to reach Errachidia, an oasis located in one of the most important historical regions of Morocco. Here is still preserved the heritage of ancient Sijilmassa, martyred city, founded in the 7th century, which was the commercial and cultural capital of the country, a crossroads between black Africa, North Africa, Europe and the East. Return of motorcycles, dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Breakfast, transfer to the airport, return flight.

If the minimum number of participants isn’t reached, the tour may be cancelled or run with a different format.

• Motorcycle rental with top case. (A security deposit from 1.250 to 2.000 depending on the motorcycle requested).
• The bike rental prices include costs for public-liability insurance and roadside assistance insurance in case of breakdown.
• All lunches (could be packed or in local restaurants).
• All the room nights in double with half board as the program.
• All soft drinks.
• Transfer to and from the airport.
• Tour leader.
• 4x4 support for assistance.
• Luggage transport.
• Insurance covering most any medical issue during the trip including, doctors, ambulance, hospital and any appropriate family travel.

IS NOT INCLUDED:

• Fuel for the rental vehicle.
• Tolls.
• Entrance tickets to museums, natural parks or other touristic sites.
• Tips and gratuities
• All meals except welcome and farewell dinners.
• All beverages.
• National and international flights
• We also suggest that anyone traveling abroad for one of our tours consider purchasing "travel insurance". It can eliminate worry from unexpected situations that can arise in any travel plan.

TERMS OF PAYMENT:

• Advanced payment of 30% of the total amount of the tour to be paid at the moment of the reservation (The deposit will be completely refundable in the event that we do not reach the minimum number of participants or in an agreed manner between the parties, if the tour will be made in modality different with different services).
• Balance 70% to be paid 30 days before the departure date subject to confirmation by our organization.
• 100% balance if the reservation is made within 30 days before departure.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

• Up to 20 days before the start date, HP Motorrad will retain 80% of the total tour.
• From the 20th day to the 11th day before the start date, Hp Motorrad will retain 90% of the total tour.
• From the 10th day before the start date, HP Motorrad will retain the total amount of the tour.
